It's hard to tell without her hood on, but Lucy is dressed up as a Monkey for halloween. She and I had lots of fun at the Pumpkin patch picking out a pumpkin and looking at all the cut-out characters. She was thrilled to find Lion King!
"The governor" and I at our small group halloween party.

My prize winning 'most creative' dessert-Kitty Litter cake!!

Melanie's wedding!
Can't believe my little sister's wedding has come and gone! Here are some shots from the rehearsal dinner.
Lucy had fun being one of "the girls" and watching everyone get hair and make up done for the big day!
Carson waiting for the show to start...
The only picture I have of Lucy fulfilling her duty as flower girl.
New brothers in law.
Father daughter dance
My lovely grandparents winning the anniversary dance.
Maid of Honor speech.... (and evidence the baby boy is growing by leaps and bounds)
Waiting to catch Mel's bouquet
Lucy did not want off of the dance floor! Her favorite person to dance with was DEFINITELY Uncle Trey or Uncle Carson.
What a fun wedding! Melanie did a great job of planning and we were so happy to be a part of it. Now- we are looking forward to hanging out with these newly weds!

Turning 2 in California!
Lucy got to celebrate her 2nd birthday in style this year- we celebrated in California! Sam was working in California the week of Lucy's birthday so we took advantage of the room and rental car and hopped on for part of the trip with Daddy!
Lucy was so excited to be in 'fornia' and she loved riding around in the 'new car' (aka rental)
As soon as we got off the plane we had some lunch, check into the hotel and headed straight for Laguna beach!
Day 2 we headed south on Pacific Coast Hwy to San Diego for some stops along the beach.
Our bright shiny 2 year old has developed an impressive sense of humor and vocabulary. She is speaking in complete sentences much of the time (most of the sentences begin with I want....) She loves getting a laugh out of her daddy.
Lucy at 2 loves to sing and dance. She can recite the alphabet song as well as count to ten. Her favorite song is "pumped up kicks' and luckily, the radio plays it every other time we get in the car! She is doing great in school and has lots of friends. She loves to play Barbies, play doh and coloring. She can often be spotted carrying around her purse or asking to get 'pink toes'. She still loves Elmo but one of her new hobbies is watching sports with daddy. Anytime Lucy sees the colors green and gold or football on tv- she immediately begins to yell "go bears!" Sadly, the Rangers lost- but Lucy is still practicing waving her rally towel and running around the house yelling "go rangers!"
Can't believe this girl is two! She still surprises us every day with all the things she can do and say. So glad we were able to celebrate together in California! When we returned to Dallas (After a long flight- of being 5 and half months pregnant travelling alone with a 2 year old) We had some quality mother daughter time and Lucy got her birthday present from momma- Earrings! She barely cried at all and likes to show of her new jewelry (cleaning them is another story.)
