I feel an obsession coming on...

Well, after a week alone (Sam is off to training in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin) I tackled a project that had been staring at me from the junk room for months... The Swanson girls were each given a sewing maching last year and I have been completely intimidated by this machine ever since! I attempted two pillows back in the summer but making them completely stressed me out. So with some free time on my hands this week and some patience, I let the creative juices loose and finished a project! I found an easy purse pattern on the internet and decided it was time to tackle this machine. After shattering two needles, disassembling the machine (and then reassembling it) I think I figured it out.

So apart from that, I've spent my days and evenings getting ready for my students to take their TAKS test next Wednesday (much more stressful that I could have imagined it being!). Sam gets back from his trip tomorrow and I can't wait! Until next time....

What a hubby?!

Just a quick brag blog... This has been a super busy week at work with open house, and meetings and Spanish class (Si, I am taking Spanish for all you Spanish speakers!). So, I come home on Monday and the strangest thing... I hear the microwave beeping and my first thought, "hm guess Sam couldn't wait for me to get home, I guess he's heating something up" Then, I step into the kitchen and SAM IS COOKING. Hello?! Is this the same husband that panicked over defrosting the hamburger meat? So, out comes the defrosted chicken and I watched in awe as Sam cooked up some delicious chicken and pasta. He served it up with a few glasses of sparkling apple juice and the BEST part...he bought 2 bags of my all time favorite candy- Cadbury crispy mini eggs! What a super suprise! I loved every second of it! It was a nice treat at the beginning of a swamped week.

As far as any updates go, Sam has been working really hard on his grad school work and we both have been addicted to American Idol all week! (Sam wouldn't want you to believe he's addicted but he is so into it!) Oh, and the bottom picture is just a funny picture from dinner last weekend. Until next time... Ciao!

Overdue Update

Ok, so we are long overdue on an update! And since it's Saturday and I'm lazily recovering from hosting a very late night Jr High girls sleepover at our house, I thought I would go ahead and give this blog a face lift! I chose the bear layout because it reminds of one of our favorite animals... the Baylor Bear!

This is the church youth super bowl party... little football was watched- much was played.
