D.C. Trip

We just got back from our Summer vacation to Washington D.C. and Philadelphia. We had a great time and I'm sure Theodore was feeling spoiled with all the extra attention since Lucy wasn't around. She had a great time visiting her Mimi and B-paw in Lumberton but we missed her like crazy! Thanks to our friend Ryan for putting us up in his basement for the week. We even got to see Elise who took the bus down from New York. A few highlights of the trip included a private tour of the Capitol building, sitting in on the Eric Holder Contempt vote in the House gallery, being on Capitol hill the morning of the Supreme Court health care ruling, Philly Cheese steaks in Philly, Touring the White House, and even going inside the FBI building for Family day.(click the link below for more photos)

Summer Vacation

Summer Vacation is the best!! We've been having lots of fun playing around the house and in the back yard together all day and waiting for Sam to get home in the evenings. I can't believe one month of summer has already come and gone!

I think we are finally getting the hang of being a family of 4. It helps that both of our kids are adorable and fun. Lucy's sense of humor is great and T-Rex is always happy and smiling (well- as long as he isn't hungry!) I am counting down the days to Summer vacation!

one month old!

Well, we've survived one month as parents of two... barely.

Both kids got RSV and after a long week of breathing treatments, anti biotics, pedialyte and jello... Lucy is happy to report she is "all better now". Teddy wasn't hit quite as hard as Lucy thanks to his shield of breastmilk immunity.
Now they are finally able to be siblings instead of living in quarantine conditions.

Lucy's idea of sharing with baby brother. I'm sure he was thrilled...
