Brag post.

Well- if you think this blog is Lucy-centric then this is NOT the post for you! Click away and save this post for Lucy's adoring grand parents and great-grandparents. I just had to document and share some of her recent cuteness.

Last night, Lucy enjoyed a little 'roll on the floor naked' time.

She sure is getting good at sitting on her own! We always have a hand close behind her but she was up long enough for me to snap a few shots of her sitting on her own :)

Thanks for the package of clothes Mimi! Lucy thought your packing tasted delicious! (and I thought the clothes inside of it were awesome!)

This video is good for my soul. If you are a fan of Lucy, it will be good for your soul too.

quarter of a century.

Here are some photos from the celebration of my awesome 25th birthday! My third grade students and my partner teacher suprised me with decorations and donuts when I got to work in the morning.

Then, Sam took me out for a much needed dinner date at Maggiano's. D-lish.

No post is complete without a picture of my sweetie. Lucy is so great- her new favorite activity is to cruise and dance in the kitchen while I get dinner ready and listen to music. We are still constantly amazed by what a happy, easy-going baby she is.

Easter and some...

Dad and Carson came up to Dallas for a visit Easter weekend and Lucy was thrilled to see them both. Above is a photo of Sam and Carson... playing one of the longest games of Stratego ever recorded. (and what trip to Dalas is complete for Carson without a game of laser tag?)

Obviously we thought Lucy was simply scrumptious in her Easter dress... mmm.....

And a big shout out to Lucy's newest buddy http://blessingsabounding.blogspot.com Hudson Hogg born today! Welcome to the world Hudson! (Hudson's mom and dad are good ol High school pals of mine!)

march madness

We loaded up and traveled down to Houston to watch Baylor basketball in the NCAA tournament. Friday night we went to the sweet 16 game and since Baylor won we stayed for the Sunday night game against Duke.

Lucy was a cutie in her Baylor fan gear and so excited for the game... but not even babies get in free- maybe some day we'll buy you a ticket Lucy.

Our view from the nose bleeds.

We headed down to the Kemah boardwalk on Saturday to enjoy the nice weather.

Maria and Layla played in the fountains

Sam and I at the elite 8 game... Baylor v. Duke.

Off to the pollen-filled south...

Lucy and I celebrated St. Patty's day on an airplane from Dallas to Houston to visit my parents. She didn't make a peep on the plane and has passed the test to fly again. good job Lucy.

While in Lake Charles, we picked up Lucy's Uncle Carson from school and went to watch his baseball practice. Lucy had a fun time playing games with her Papaw Dale.

By the time Lucy got to hang out with her Aunt Melanie we were both suffocating in snot from all of the pollen (and possibly teething??- not sure). But- Lucy was a trooper and managed a few games of peek-a-boo with her aunt Melanie.

Lucy gave her Mimi some really big smiles of gratitude for totally spoiling us on our trip! Come see us in Dallas!

After a crazy plane ride home- (after taxi-ing on the runway for half an hour, just as the pilot was firing up the engines to take off down the run way the woman across the aisle decided she was sick to her stomach and didn't want to make the 40 minute flight to Dallas- so the flight attendant quickly radioed the pilot who turned the plane around and took the woman back to the gate!! I couldn't believe it. I'll admit- I gave the girl the evil eye for making us an hour delayed!!). We arrived back in Dallas to a snowy night and a happy daddy. The reunion between Lucy and Sam was SO sweet. She gave him such big sweet grins the whole time we were in the airport. :)

Spring has sprung here in Dallas- last night while picking up some groceries I tried these little glasses on Lucy and obviously she HAD to have them... so now she's ready for the warm weather.

A couple of weeks ago we went down to Houston so that I could go to my college roommate's baby shower! It was nice to see Kristen even it was for a very short time.
It seems that videos of Lucy have become the most popular feature on the blog so below is a video we'll call "Dad's thumb : microphone or pacifier?" .... and then a clip of Lucy's first time to eat a little rice cereal!

Oh daughter.

Boy- someone should teach this baby some manners!

(Or this is Lucy's way of saying- Grandpa Dale, Uncle Carson, Aunt Melanie- come visit me!!)
