Mazatlan!

Last week we were relaxing in Mazatlan Mexico! We dropped Lucy off with my mom for a whole week! I missed her like crazy! But, we definitely needed the get away. Our friends Eric and Kathleen joined us on the trip.

The boys played lots of ping pong and boogie boarding.... the girls did lots of reading by the pool.

There's nothing quite like relaxing under the watchful guard of an armed Federali!! There were alot of guards in and around our resort... leaving us feeling both alarmed and secure?

One day of the trip we paid for a boat ride to the "lovely" stone island. Kathleen and I were not impressed- it was not lovely and we paid for two activities, we only did one and that was a bust. I ended the day with a busted lip from that banana boat. Ultimate conclusion: don't leave your nice resort!!

We ended the trip by driving down to Beaumont to pick up Lucy and see Karol Anne and finally meet baby AnneMarie!

Lucy had a great week with her Mimi and I hear she didn't even ask for us once! Thanks Mimi for taking such good care of Lucy so we could relax on our trip!

Family in town

We had lots of family in town Memorial day weekend so we packed it full of fun activities. We rode the DART train into Dallas with Melanie, Trey, Carson and Dad.

Then we celebrated my Uncle Gary's birthday at Pappacito's. It was great to see my cousins and finally meet their girls. (we are a family full of girls!)

There was a live band for the party and we couldn't get Lucy off the dance floor. She is a dancin fool.

We also did the Cowboys stadium tour with my dad, carson, and my cousin Nick and his family.

May Days

The above photo was my mothers day gift from Lucy, she said "Cheese" AND smiled long enough for me to snap a few photos. Thanks Lucy, you know my heart. :)

First off, let me state that we are no where near potty training Lucy. That being said, Lucy has had an ongoing diaper rash so we've tried walking around in big girl undies to help the situation. I thought this would be a good time to introduce sitting on the potty. Since Lucy is in LOVE with Elmo at the moment, I thought having Elmo on the seat would help. I was right about loving Elmo... but instead of sitting on the potty, she carried this seat everywhere BUT the bathroom. As shown below, elmo potty, on the back porch. This girl has personality I tell ya.

Chocolate pudding, so good to eat, so hard to clean.

We travelled down to Lumberton for my mom's wedding last weekend. A good time was had by all.

Counting down the days until Sam and I flee to Mazatlan for a week!!! Can't Wait!

Lucy finally decided Uncle Trey would make for a good friend.

Had a fabulous Royal wedding party!

Watched daddy win a 2nd place medal at the German Fest 5K (even though it was really cold and pouring down rain!)

Wow, why do I feel like in the last month Lucy is growing like crazy! Here she is 'cookin' with momma in the kitchen. She's a smart one... she doesn't want kiddie untensils, she wants the real thing for her kitchen... she even insisted on stirring real spaghetti this day. She's so awesome.

My friend Meagan was in town with her family this weekend and we had a fun dinner watching Lucy and Hudson interact.

Whoa there Hudson.... you better watch those hands buddy!!

Lucy and I have been enjoying some popsicles on our new patio!! Sam has been working so hard to fix up our back yard and we have a great shady patio under the trees now! I'm sure more pictures will come when the project is in a more finished state. Sam has done a great job- can't wait to enjoy it even more often in the warm weather.
