Houston trip

Well, we finally made it down to Houston and meet new niece Layla! And now for lots of pictures!......

Maria did her part to help her Uncle Jared and Aunt Becka move in!

All the girls for a crazy shot.

Below is what Maria's face looked like after she was left alone with "uncle creepy" for a little while! ha!

Kelly and I at the Astro's game!

And finally.... Uncle Sam saying bye to little Layla! What a fun weekend!

boot scootin birthday

Sorry for the flood of pictures but I had such a fun birthday weekend that I just had to share! Saturday night we went out with everyone for a barbecue dinner and then out for some Country Western dancing. We had a great time! Tonight for my actual birthday Sam took me out to the Melting Pot for a really fun fondue dinner. It was really yummy, and as always Sam was such a gentleman. Thanks to everyone that came to celebrate! We had a blast! And... thanks for all fun gifts :) It was a happy 23 for me!

What happened to my Spring Break??

Well, I'm back in the swing of things after spring break but I never finished part 2 of my break! This is a tribute to Karol Anne, who promised to become a blogger but has only presented one post thus far. Happy Early Birthday KAG! I'm testing to see how long it takes you to read this. ha! Below is the Glasson's house. I went to visit for two nights on my break and had so much fun going to Karol Anne's 1A highschool and meeting her students and having some girl time! Too bad Brownwood isn't closer :(

Easter weekend my dad and Carson made a quick trip up to visit. What trip with Carson would be complete with out laser tag? And of course Dad took us out to eat a few times for some really good meals!

Dad also helped us pick up the patio furniture we had been wanting- we just couldn't fit it into our cars! I'll have to post the pictures of our blossoming backyard soon!

Spring Break pt. 1

We drove down to Houston this weekend to visit Jake, Kelly and Maria and had so much fun! We were hoping little Layla would make her appearance but we'll just keep waiting! We gave Maria a baby to take care of while mom takes care of baby Layla and Maria proved to everyone that she is ready to be a big sister! She gave the baby kisses and 'ba ba' all weekend!

Here's Uncle Sam teaching Maria naughty tricks.

We made it down to Galveston on Saturday and had such a good time... what would my spring break be without a stop in Galveston??

Sam convinced Kelly to smoke baby Layla out... with candy cigarettes of course!

Killer Boots Man

Above is my little sister (with my dad) and below is the former president of the United States..

The above president was visiting Melanie's University on Monday and so Melanie happened upon this event and as the President passed by her she says "Killer boots man". That's right, the former leader of the free world and Melanie quotes Dumb and Dumber. Which, apparently sparked a decent conversation between the two so I guess that shows what I know! I just had to share this story because I thought it was so funny!

And here are some more picture from snow day #2! That's right... 2 snow days in one week! This one wasn't as fun as Monday night though. It took me 2 hours to get home from work yesterday and then driving to work this morning I watched a nasty accident happen which freaked me out the rest of the day!

Does this look like March in Texas to you? Wow!

Snow!

I am such a Texan! The first snow flake I saw I ran upstairs and put on my ski clothes (which by the way, thanks Dad! After two years with tags on they finally got put to use!) We probably only got an inch an half total but I couldn't resist running outside to play in it! My poor flu stricken Sam enjoyed the weather from the window but I couldn't stand to be inside on a night like that!
